Insight Magazine

Insight is a theoretical quarterly fashion magazine. The nameplate was made from scratch along with all the designs. It utilized a six column grid. Containing a cover, a table of contents, and an inside spread, everything was made to emulate the awesome flamboyance of a fashion magazine.

WXCI 91.7 F.M. Logo Redesign

WXCI is Western Connecticut State University’s associated radio station. The President asked me through WCSU’s University of Publication and Design to redesign their logo. They wanted a more fun but professional logo with WCSU’s school colors.
I chose to do a typographic solution as they didn’t have any strong visual symbolism attached to their brand. I hand created the image, traced the logo in illustrator, adding color afterwards. They were happy with the logo so they asked me to design an instagram post, pamphlet on WXCI, and collateral.

Silence of the Lambs Poster

The Silence of the Lambs poster is a redesigned version of the original. The approach was a streamlined graphical reinterpretation, recreating the iconic moth design with blood dripping down from the top of the canvas. This additional design element evokes the design of the original poster, while further hinting at the dark subject matter of the film.

Spellbound Wine

Spellbound wine is a theoretical wine brand, with an elegant but mysterious atmosphere in both flavor and design. The logo and label are designed to bolster this feeling. The label takes inspiration from tarot cards and its intricate but flat designs.

Ernest and the Pale Moon Posters

Ernest and The Pale Moon is a play about a man who goes insane and murders his neighbor whom he loved and stalked from afar. Afterwards we witness the spiraling of his insanity. The play itself takes inspiration from the works of Edgar Allen Poe and German Expressionism. The Director wanted the poster to lean more towards German Expressionism, specifically inspired by the black and white film The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari. Also the poster would be using two separate actors for two different but similar posters. The poster uses my hand drawn charcoal drawings which I then colored over in Photoshop. The moon is photo bashed and the image of the actor is edited to add to the feeling of insanity.

Wear it Right

Wear it right was a mask campaign under a short deadline. Eight hours after being given the assignment, the final would need to be handed in. The campaign’s purpose was to get WCSU students to wear their masks correctly. Three different poster designs were used and would need to relate to one another. The posters would use school colors and branding.

Do Not Engage

Do Not Engage is a melodic hardcore band from Norwalk CT. The lilies in the eyes represent both innocence and death which helps create a strong contrast in imagery with the skull. A mostly text version of the logo was also made so that Do Not Engage was readable at smaller sizes.

Reweaving America

Reweaving America was a logo made for a theoretical charity that takes textiles and recycles them into clothing for the homeless. The logo is made to look like string and needles to create an instant connection to textiles and clothing. Green and purple are used to create a connection with the environment.

100 Ways to Slightly Improve Your Life

This piece was made as a theoretical feature illustration for the article 100 Ways to Slightly Improve Your Life. This article made a long list of many many minor fixes. In order to encapsulate the feeling of this massive list, I made the lips out of a couple of

the improvements.

Prisma Art Book Illustration

This image was my submission for the WCSU Prisma Art Club book. The 2021 edition of the Prisma Art Book's prompt was the word toxic. This illustration was my interpretation of the word toxic taking the poisonous plant, Belladonna, and incorporating it into the gas mask.
